Is it all getting too much?

Our political cat-pundit - Flash - ponders on the meaning of life and wonders why the keyboard gets so furry at this time of the year.
Is the gloom and doom of the last few days getting you down? Do you long for the days when men and women entered politics for the honour of it, rather than the money? Do you feel they should all repay every last cent they've purloined, or do you think they should just go to prison?Do you think HMRC should haul them all in to discuss their largely fictitious tax returns? Are you down hearted that the BNP have won two seats?

Are we discussing TWO books on 17 June? If so, are they the Christopher Fowler and Rose Tremain ones, or is the Kate Atkinson one under review?

Have you read them all? If so, well done; if not, you may as well read them because they'll take your mind off all the political doo-doo.
I know young Steve can't attend our next reading group as he is off to watch the Nederlands Dance Troupe at the Lowry on that date. BTW, both Steve and Andi took part in the BUPA run and did very well indeed. We expect nothing less.
Come on now, groupies - if you can't be arsed to comment on books (it's beginning to look as though some of you have given up reading altogether), you can at least let us have your views on topical events. Or, of course, you can download some amusing photos which would be even more welcome.
