Good turnout tonight at Abode for our last meeting of the year. Unfortunately the restaurant was not its usual slick self but the food was most acceptable. The Robber Bride excited very mixed feelings, most of them negative. Erica had read the book some time ago and had refreshed her memory by re-reading the last few chapters. Other than that I was the only one who had finished it. No Julia, reading all the synopsis on Wikipedia does not count.
Comments varied from "too intellectual", "too wordy", "Attwood hates men".

Thought we'd decided it was "Wicked Pedia" when you do your reading group reading on 't'internet?
Still, as always, lovely company, good food - not perhaps as nice as the last few visits, but still fine - and laughs galore.
Great to see you on the blog, katie! Wow, what next for our intrepid group? I suppose it will be a major first if we all manage to read a book all the way through! Such a far cry from our earnest early days...
