Am still enjoying the 'bulb lasagne' you gve me for Christmas - every other week, a different type of flower pops up out of the pot. An inspired gift, darling child. Don't expect anything so innovative from me! Perhaps we shall enjoy a middle England reading group meeting before long, who knows?
Must make a start on The Siege, having finished off Trio pretty quickly. Have just reread a favourite Dorothy L Sayers novel and am in the middle of a Donna Leon - very interesting for anyone who has been to and loved Venice. although I enjoy the Andrea Camillieri novels too, but prefer the BBC tv series with Luca Zingatti.
And now must take Hattie the Slapper out for a walk. Booked in for the Big Op on Monday so perhaps the cats will get a chance to relax instead of being chased all over the house...

Hope you had a fab birthday Andi. And that Chatsworth was as good as ever. Julia and I both sent pressies to your home address so hope you've received them by now? I know mine was letter box shaped!
